STOCKHOLM, 5 March 2026 — PubliX Group partners with Embrace Safety, whose platform EMBRACE enables knowledge-based crime prevention and safety promotion for municipalities and local authorities. Embrace Safety was founded in Örebro in 2018 by Henrik Andershed, professor of criminology at Örebro University, and is led by CEO Johan Rydberg.
EMBRACE combines analytical software with continuous knowledge support: municipalities, police authorities and organisations use it to map and share situation reports on crime and insecurity, analyse causes, and document and follow up preventive measures. Several hundred organisations use the platform today.
Demand is driven by law: since 2023, Swedish municipalities have a statutory responsibility for crime prevention work under lag (2023:196), including producing recurring situation reports — exactly the workflow EMBRACE supports.
